Air-Conditioning

We've always been a bit against air-conditioning as the tendency is to have it too cold compared to the outside temperature … this in turn makes outside seem hotter than it really is and so, instead of enjoying the great outdoors, guests will huddle in the cabin swearing blind it is too hot outside! (This can work in reverse during the winter time.) In fact, for much of the year, simply taking the windows off and having the fans move the air around is a great deal more pleasant.

However, there are occasions during the hotter months when it would be nice to cool the place down a bit - particularly around bedtime (or warm it up in winter!) so we have finally succumbed and installed an efficient, quiet system for your use.

The system is metered - but don't worry! We add sufficient credit to the metre to allow you to run it for around a 100 hours per week (about 14 hours a day) during your stay. This is really just to focus you on not leaving it running all day and all night … if you do need it on for the extra hours, 1 euro will give you 5 hours worth of air-conditioning ... so for an extra couple of euros a day, you could have it on 24 hours a day.

This is a one off, get away from it all holiday location. Glamping holiday: feeling at one with nature, like camping, but with the luxury of a cabin and all mod cons!
