"Glamping" - feeling at one with nature ... like camping, but with the luxury of a cabin and all mod cons!

We had never thought of Casita Maria as being like "posh" camping, but the moment Jane and John (no, their names have not been changed to hide their identity!!) wrote the following the guest book, we knew exactly what they meant:

It really has all been said before (referring to previous entries in the guest book). However, our stay has had all the good bits of wild camping on a mountain top and sleeping under the stars, with none of the privations (ie comfortable bed, all mod cons, protection from flying creatures). The plunge pool is even better than a pool in a mountain stream in a lot of ways.

Congratulations to Alan and Colleen for creating this unique experience.

With the removable windows, decking on the edge of the mountain side, cooking outside on the BBQ, great views of the valley in the day  and starry skies at night; you and nature are together. There the similarities stop! The insulated roof not only keeps out the excessive heat (or cold), but doesn't let the rain in.  Ceiling and wall fans keep the place cool ... but if desperate, there is air-conditioning to chill you to perfection (The unit also works as a perfect heater in the cooler months).

So if you normally pay what often turns into quite large amounts trying to have an inexpensive holiday ... you might want to compare the prices of staying in Casita Maria instead ... you won't be disappointed!
